The vision of one man's brilliant inspiration produced a world-class brand and a belief in the power of technology, led a team of engineers, scientists, and designers to an impossible journey impossible –gave the vision its existence. RADO brand history begins in a little Swiss city Lengnau when three brothers Fritz, Ernst and Werner to Schlup opened their watch factory Schlup & Co. Exactly forty years later, in 1957, the factory became RADO Uhren AG, which was the first introduction for a new watch collection under a new name - it was the beginning of an extraordinary story. Since its introduction, Rado watches charmed watch lovers all over the world with groundbreaking innovations. In 1962 the company introduced a series of "Original" - the world's first scratch-resistant timepiece. Countless innovative technological developments have appeared in subsequent years. Since the 80s of the last century Rado has made use of advanced ceramics which became prominent trademark for Rado watches. Undoubtedly, the highlight is the development and use of advanced materials "diamonds" (created by Rado laboratories with advanced technologies and are just as durable as the natural source). Rado watches are famous not only for quality materials and advanced integration, but also for their aesthetic qualities. Since the 90s of the last century Rado brand won more than 30 prestigious international design awards.
